What
is JR-WEST Rail Pass? JR西日本パスとは？ JR West offers two types of
passes. These passes are available to tourists staying in Japan for
a short period of time.
Kansai Area Pass [ For the
Kansai (Keihanshin) Area) ] The pass holder has unlimited
use of any standard trains and Haruka non-reserved seats within the
corresponding area.
Sanyo Area Pass [ For the
Osaka-Sanyo Area ] The passenger has unlimited use of
Haruka, Shinkansen, and standard trains within the corresponding
area.
Who is
eligible for JR-WEST Rail Pass? JR西日本パスのご利用資格 JR-WEST Rail Pass ia available to
travelers entering Japan on a non-Japanese Passport with Temporary
Visitor" entry status.
It is very important to note that Japanese passport holder
cannot use JR-WEST Rail Pass; they can only use the standard Japan Rail
Pass if they meet the overseas residence
requirements.
How
to obtain a JR-WEST Rail Pass JR西日本パスの購入方法 JR-WEST Rail Pass
cannot be purchased inside Japan. JR西日本パスは日本国内では購入できません。 日本へ発つ前にエクスチェンジ・オーダー（引換証）を購入してください
You must purchase an
Exchange Order from an authorized sales office or agent before you
come to Japan. After you arrive in Japan, you turn in the Exchange
Order to receive your JR-EAST Rail Pass at an applicable JR station
that has a JR-EAST Rail Pass exchange office.
